Russian cbank to mull cutting key rate by 0.25, 0.5 pp Jun 16
MOSCOW, Jun 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank will consider reducing the key rate by 0.25 or 0.5 percentage points at a meeting on June 16, Chairwoman Elvira Nabiullina told reporters on Monday.
“We will be considering two options indeed. We will be making our decision basing on a traditional analysis and inflation figures, inflation expectations, the situation in the economy, unemployment,” Nabiullina said.
The central bank’s key rate is 9.25% annually. The last reduction took place in April and amounted to 0.5 percentage points.
